Details of Experience:
Mrs. Marie Dalessio was admitted to The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing on January 7, 2020. Prior to being admitted to the GP, she was admitted to St. Francis Hospital on January 3, 2020, due to back pain, post-fall. Marie was in need of intense rehabilitation to be able to ambulate independently. This is Marie’s third visit to the Grand Pavilion.

Upon arriving at The Grand Pavilion, Marie was very comfortable with her surroundings as she immediately recognized the staff. The staff was very welcoming and explained to her the process that they would use to ensure that she achieved her maximum rehabilitation outcome. Her daughter, Roseann, came to visit every day and spend most of her day with mom. Patients and staff alike loved when Roseann came. She often brought her guitar and played for the patients and staff on the 1st floor. She stated “I would love to come to play guitar and sing even after mom leaves.”

Throughout this whole process, Marie felt very supported by the entire team. Having made great progress in therapy, the whole team was delighted to assist her home on February 26, 2020. Roseann sent some words of encouragement to the team after Marie was settled in at home.

The team at Grand Pavillion is comforted by the fact she is home, healthy and enjoying life with her family.
