Navdeep Cheema
Director of MDS
Cheema strongly believes that Nurses play a vital role in the healing process of the resident’s mind, soul and body through high quality of care. Cheema emigrated to the United States from India in 2006, after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science. She worked as a Pharmacy Technician for five years, then decided to pursue a career in Nursing. She joined The Paramount community in 2011 as an LPN and experienced tremendous growth personally and professionally. In 2013, Cheema completed the RN Program at Westchester Community College and obtained her RN license. Throughout her tenure at The Paramount, she has worked in various capacities: Charge Nurse, Subacute Unit Manager and Nursing Supervisor. She later joined the MDS Department as an Assessor and advanced to the role of Director of MDS. The MDS department has given her opportunity to combine the skills that she has learned and contribute to the overall holistic wellbeing of the residents. Cheema loves what she does, sharing a quote from William A. Foster, “Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.”
