Nursing Unit Manager

Christina's career in nursing came by accident. When considering educational goals, she had for her children, Christina took her own advice and pursued a degree in nursing. She started her career in long-term care facilities, then pursued medical specialties. "Working side by side with physicians allowed her to broaden, develop and hone her clinical skills", said Christina. After losing her grandmother, she decided to return to long-term care. Christina is the Unit Manager of the community's dementia unit, Tate. "I find it a privilege to work with this population, as they often provide unique views of days past. Using validation therapy, I’ve been afforded the chance to sit beside a Tuskegee airman, whose version of piloting a mission was formidable."
