Cqurtney Jemison

Cqurtney has always been passionate about service and caring for others.  He spent many years as a chef before deciding to go into healthcare. Cqurtney was drawn to nursing because he was inspired to take care of those in need as a whole person and make more of a difference in people’s lives. He graduated from Dutchess BOCES with a License in Practical Nursing in 2011 and spent several years in Orthopedic surgery, where he was promoted to clinical staff supervisor. Joining the team at The Paramount in 2019 as a unit medication nurse while attending college, Cqurtney realized caring for the elderly was where his heart bloomed.  He graduated from SUNY Orange in December 2023 with his Registered Nurse license. He served as an RN Nursing Supervisor and has now transitioned into Unit Manager.  Cqurtney shares, "As a chef, you have the opportunity to provide exceptional experiences for a brief time.  As a nurse, you create experiences and relationships with residents and families that last a lifetime."
